Just like the traditional employee, you’re expected to prove that you can do the job. For instance, as a writer, you must be good at writing and have excellent IT skills. And if you’re applying for a remote graphic designing job, you sure need to have the same comparable skills.

The most important part of getting started as a full-time freelancer is to have a clear goal. You need to know exactly how many hours you want to spend freelancing. You need to know exactly how much money you want (or need) to make in exchange for those hours for this to be viable for you. And you need to know exactly what you can offer the market as a service.

When a contract ends, clients usually leave you feedback as part of that process. As a freelancer, you also can leave public feedback about your experience with the client.

Most file types are accepted, including .doc, .docx, .pdf, .txt, .ppt, .gif, and .png. The acceptable file types are the same everywhere attachments are available (proposals, job posts, messages, etc.). Messages offer you secure file sharing, video, and voice calling tools. You can use this space to discuss projects, interview, share documents, and complete contracts.
